Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) is a set of training standards established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for new drivers seeking to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Our online ELDT courses cover a comprehensive curriculum designed to ensure that entry-level drivers have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate commercial vehicles safely.
Who needs to take ELDT courses?
ELDT courses are required for individuals who are applying for their first Class A CDL or Class B CDL, upgrading an existing Class B CDL to a Class A CDL, or obtaining a school bus (S), passenger (P), or hazardous materials (H) endorsement for the first time. The ELDT regulations do not apply to individuals who were issued a CDL or an S, P, or H endorsement prior to February 7, 2022
